Hi my name is Gillian. I am pleased to have taken up a clinical role with Beacon and am also your appointed associate director of teaching
I am a GP and have worked in practices on permanent and ad hoc basis. My other roles have included clinical lead for advanced intermediate care, mortality and morbidity lead and I have worked in unscheduled care services. In addition to this role, I also work for community based medical education at The University of Manchester as a clinical lecturer.

My name is Dr Aisha Afzaal I am a qualified salaried Gp at Medlock. I have also worked in the Emergency department at a registrar level for the last 7 years. I also work as a GP in an A/E department. I have lots of experience and knowledge about an acute setting as well as working as a GP in the community.

I have 16 + years of combined experience in community pharmacy, CCG, GP practice and education sector. I qualified from Pakistan securing a 1:1 degree in pharmacy and have been awarded president scholarship. I also have the honour of being awarded Gold medal for securing top scores throughout my university life. My areas of interest include auditing, templates designing, safer medicine prescribing and education facilitation.

My name is Abi and I am a qualified Advanced Clinical Pharmacist. I am also an Independent Prescriber with lead specialist interest in Type 2 Diabetes. I have a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from Washington D.C, USA. I have a Clinical Diploma, Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) and Advanced Clinical Skills qualification, all from the University of Manchester, UK. Between USA and UK, I have 14yrs hospital experience; having worked as a Cardiac, Gastroenterology, Respiratory pharmacist and also Aseptic pharmacist making nephrotoxic antibiotics for critical wards. I have also worked part-time as a community pharmacist and as a telephone triage pharmacist with BARDOC in Bury . My newest role with Beacon GP Care is as the Clinical Auditor.
